270 grams of Ecoballs refills can be used to refill Ecoball units or can just be used to top up your Ecoballs when required.
Instructions:
Firstly, to use these refills you must have a set of 3 EcoBalls units. These refills must not be used on their own without the EcoBalls units. Open the EcoBalls units by first removing the sponge ring and the screw from the centre of the unit, you can then unscrew the two halves of the EcoBalls units. If the unit is difficult to open tap the rim of the unit against a hard surface and try again. Make sure that the units are tightly put back together after you have refilled them.
Caution:
EcoBalls and refills are not a toy and must be kept out of reach of children. The refill pellets (270g) will last up to 750 washes based on a 30 minute wash cycle.

I love these Ecoball refills, they ae so cheap, and they really work!
I was shocked to find the Ecoballs work, and to find refills here, at such a good price is brilliant.
I recommend buying friends and family the Ecoballs as presents, then they have no excuse not to try them!

Verified product owner These have saved us a fortune in washing liquids/powders. Unscrewing the balls is easy enough but there is a knack to getting them done up again without spilling the refill everywhere. Still, it's a two minute job and well worth it.

Q: Hi, If I purchase a set of Ecoballs do I have to buy a pack of refills, or are they already in the set of ecoballs?
A: Ecoballs are supplied filled and ready to use. The refills are designed to keep the balls in service but should be required until after a good few hundred washes. John.

Q: the pellets are leeking from the eco balls, i keep finding them loose in my washing machine, is there anything i can do to remedy this and can they damage my machine?
I look forward to your reply.
A: I’m sorry to hear about your problem; the eco balls should not be leaking and if the pellets used are small enough to come through the casing they should be discarded as household waste and replaced. However, this may be an issue with the casing itself and you should check to make sure that it is closed securely before use.
As for damage to your washing machine, the pellets used are designed to gradually dissolve on contact with water and so no damage should come to your machine.
Marty.

Q: How do you know when you need to change your e ball - I have a single one - or how do you know when it needs refilling? do the balls disappear. I've been using mine 2 months and theres still balls in there?
A: Thanks for the query. You will find that the pellets inside the eco-balls do get used up. This refill is for topping up the balls as they get used. Hope this helps. Thomas.

Q: How good are these with greasy marks, I have used something similar in the past which worked very well on most things but struggled with grease marks (from cooked food)
A: We receive a great deal of positive feedback from customers regarding the Ecoballs, but as with all laundry products, there can occasionally be mixed results when it comes to grease marks. We find the best solution is to treat such stains first. This can be done with specialist stain removers such as the Ecover Stain Remover, or we have also found that conventional washing up liquid does the trick successfully.
I hope this helps. Jo.

Q: Could you please tell me if it is environmently safe to water my garden directly with water from the washing machine. We have a serious water shortage and very strict water restrictions. I use eco-balls which I purchased for myself and my daughter, from your firm.
How do I know when to re-fill/top-up the balls?
Yours faithfully,
Helen Gold
A: Ecozone state the following with regard to watering your garden:
"We have not carried out any tests on the grey water from the washing machine. As the Ecoballs™ release very little deposits into the water over a long period of time you may recycle the grey water for use in the your garden to water grass or shrubs but we do not advise you to water fruit or vegetables as no tests have been carried out to ascertain if this is safe. You must not use this grey water for drinking or bathing in."
Ecozone state the following with regard to refilling your Eco Balls:
"You will notice that the mineral oxide pellets inside the casing of the Ecoballs™ decrease in size and that the balls become very light. You may also notice the cleaning power is not as strong. The average time that customers have reported to us that they need to refill/top-up is 18 months. Use the refills that come with the Ecoballs™ as a top-up only to increase cleaning power, at this stage do not throw any pellets away. Further refills are available and these ones are designed to replace all your existing pellets. As long as the outer casing is in good shape you can
continue to refill time and time again."
