Vektra Vacuum Eco Kettle - 1 Series - 1.7 Ltr Brushed Stainless Steel

I bought this in Sep 2023 and loved it. When the on/off button stopped working within a year, I returned it via Ethical Superstore to be tested and was sent a new one. Unfortunately, the on/off button on the replacement also stopped working within a few months but to be fair to Vektra, they paid the postage for me to return it and sent me a new one after they'd tested it. I asked if they knew the cause and they think it might have been a bad batch so I'm hoping that's the case and that my 3rd kettle will last as I'm keen to support an ethical brand with an ethical product despite the inconvenience so far. I've given a fair 3 stars given that I've received a replacement both times my kettle stopped working.

I'd read 2 negative reviews and 1 positive review before I bought & am an optimist so bought one to be eco friendly! I love the kettle design to keep water hot but after 2 months the on/off switch broke and it took a few weeks to get a replacement. Sadly, within a year, the same fault has reoccurred so I am going to see if they'll replace again - 2 kettles breaking within 12 months sadly suggests a potential design fault!

The kettle has been flawless for 8 years. Keeps the water hit throughout the day. Money saver. Energy saver.

Came to the site to buy one for my sister, saw two negative reviews and nothing else - we have experienced quite the opposite, so I was motivated to write a good review!

We also had problems, just over a year old and the kettle won't turn off. Extremely dangerous.

The theory is good but technically poor. I bought this kettle about 2 years ago. Within 2 weeks, the on/off switch had stopped working. It took several weeks to get a replacement sent out. Now the lid has broken. I am giving up with this product and going back to a conventional electric kettle.
