This new Ecolectric 2-Slice Toaster from Morphy Richards covers all bases. It not only makes evenly browned, delicious toast, but does so quicker, more energy efficiently and in a more eco-friendly manner than toast has been made before!
It features a rather innovative auto-close lid which helps to keep the heat close to the bread, meaning that you spend less time waiting for your toast in the morning, and do your bit to cut energy use. Statistics show that the lid on this green-chic toaster actually uses 34% less energy than standard toasters - an impressive boast by anyone's standards.
Another time-saving and functional attribute of the Ecolectric Toaster is the variable bread width function – allowing you to evenly brown the thinnest slices or the thickest chunks of your favourite bread.
As well as demonstrating these top notch green credentials, this toaster looks the part too. It's chic and sleek, and features Cooltouch illuminated neon function buttons, and also a handy cord storage facility. All of these mean you can keep your work surfaces clean and clear once your toast has popped up and is ready to eat.
Every product in the Ecolectric range is packaged in materials that are both recycled and 100% recyclable making these products even better for the environment.
Team this fantastic, new eco-gadget with an Eco Kettle, an energy saving Eco Vacuum Cleaner, or an auto-stop Ecolectric Iron to make your home a truly green environment.

Q: Hi,
we've just bought this toaster - it works well, but unlike a traditional toaster it appears to have a 'standby' power consumption of around 7W - that's over a unit of electricity per week if left permanently switched on. Presumably if it's not switched off it is not particularly energy efficient?
A: This toaster is highly energy efficient in terms of its toasting ability, but unfortunately it does consume a small amount of energy if left on standby, as many electronic devices do. The easiest solution is to switch it off at the wall when it's not in use, a habit which you may not be used to with your toaster, but it's a good habit to follow with many household devices.

Q: This is progress - but I've always wondered why there isn't a toaster that toasts one slice if that is your choice i.e with a switch that turns off the spare slot when you only want to do one slice?
A: Good question, I'm pleased to say that some toasters already do offer such a feature, for example the Dualit 2 + 1 Toaster we sell has individual controls for one, two or all three slots, click here to view it's details. John.
