Pack of 20 fully compostable bagasse plates, each measuring 9.65".
Bagasse is a waste fibre, left over from the pressing of sugar cane. The fibre is usually burned as a fuel, but the power yield is low, and the level of pollutants high. Vegware use a high heat, high pressure process to press this high quality disposable tableware.

Q: Where are these plates made and how much CO2 does the production and transport produce? I feel it would be better to highlight reuseable items and making disposables the last option.
A: Vegwares' registered office is in Edinburgh, Scotland. Unfortunately, due to the nature of delivery and production we cannot accurately suggest the level of CO2 produced. However, we are committed to minimizing our impact on the environment and so use fuel-efficient delivery organisations. As well as this Ethicalsuperstore.com has implemented the U.K.’s 1st mail order carbon offset delivery programme.
