Ensure you can always be seen when cycling with this easy to use bicycle lighting system. The lights are charged by a hand turned dynamo, meaning that running out of batteries is a thing of the past.
To charge, simply wind up the main (front) unit and insert into the holder. You then have bright front and backlight for safe cycling in the dark. The front and rear lights are connected to ensure that you only need to wind one unit, to charge both.
As well as being a complete cycle lighting system, the Swallow can also be used as a charger for mobile phones. The Swallow comes complete with a Nokia cable. Adapters for other phone and mobile devices are available at www.powerplusadapter.com.

Verified product ownerOnly downside it took me a while to work out how to get to the wind up mechanism (instructions weren't very clear) and the rubber bands to attach the rear light to the bike snapped so I had to tape the light on, which is possibly my bike anyway.
But overall a must by for eco-friendly bikers!

Q: How long do the lights stay lit following wind-up?
A: Shine time
After 1minute winding
Front and tail light - intense shining - 8 Minutes
Front and tail light - flashing - 18 Minutes
Headlight intense shining 12 Minutes
Headlight flashing 4 Hours

Q: Is one minute the maximum wind up time or if you wind it up for longer, will it last longer?
A: The swallow can be wound for longer than a minute and this will increase the shine time.
When fully charged the Swallow should deliver the following performance
Front and tail light - intense shining - 50 Minutes
Front and tail light - flashing - 5 hours

Q: I would like to know whether the swallow wind-up bike lights comply with the road vehicle lighting regulations in terms of brightness and the frequency of the flashes? This is because they are for use on work bikes on company business and have to comply with the legal regulations.

A: We have asked the manufacturer and they said that they "comply with all EU laws and regulations, and as far as we know this covers the UK".
