The sea sponges used have neither brain nor central nervous system and have many plant-like qualities hence the Ancient Greek name for them; ‘Zoofitan’, meaning half plant/half animal.

As a company, Natural Sea Sponge Co. are commited to the protection of sea sponges and the ecosystems surrounding them. As such, it uses only registered fishermen, always cut above the root, and conform to Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries standards.

All of the materials used in packaging the sponges and other products are recycled and recyclable and the sponges themselves are 100% biodegradble!
