Ensure that you leave no trace when you pack up your tent, with these brand new biodegradable tent pegs.
Made from potato starch, the pegs only begin to decompose after months in the ground. Surprisingly strong, this safer alternative to metal or plastic makes a superb replacement for traditional pegs.
The pegs can also be used for securing plants and pinning turf and ground covers.

Airport asked this question on 29th Aug 2009
Q: Do you think these pegs will pass an airport scan? Are they deemed unacceptable in cabin baggage?
A: Yes these pegs will pass through an airport magnetic scan. There is no specific advice on whether these would be considered acceptable in airline baggage or not. This type of tent peg is not on the list items banned by British Airways, but I would suggest contacting the airline you intend to travel with before travelling. Andy
