The FR350 is a water-resistant radio with an inbuilt LED light and mobile phone charger that uses wind up technology. With three sources of power and a durable exterior it is a versatile and eco-friendly radio. The FR350 is perfect for a wide wide range of uses either as an emergency radio or for sailing, trekking, camping, listening to music by the pool, or soaking up the sunshine on the beach. It's ideal for the world traveller too, where local power sources may be un-reliable. Using the hand-cranked power generator, you can charge the internal rechargeable Ni-MH battery pack which is then used to power the radio, flashlight or mobile phone charger when you need it.
The Eton FR350 can be powered from four different sources:
- Built-in rechargeable Ni-MH battery that takes charge from the dynamo crank or from an AC adapter (included)
- 3 AA batteries (not included)
- AC adapter alone (included)
- Dynamo crank alone, even with no battery pack installed

Q: Hi I'm think about getting this for the summer but have a couple of questions. I have seen the weight quoted as 500g, 680g and 800g on various websites, and was wondering if you could confirm the actual weight of the radio alone without any additional batteries case etc. Also as I plan to take this traveling with me I am wondering if the phone charge option can be used at the same time as the unit is charging from the mains, or does it only charge phone from the battery. Finally could you confirm if it comes with adapter for sony erikson W810i, or and if not if it is possible to get a converter for this modle phone.
A: The radio itself weight 486g with the battery installed. There is no reason why your phone cannot be charged at the same time that the radio is charging. The FR350 does not appear to be compatible with the W810i, unfortunately.
