Good detergent & one of the only main eco brands that is palm oil-free. I've been using for 2 years now on regular cold water washes and at 20-30C. Cleans thoroughly whites and colour/dark clothing alike. Just make sure you follow the instructions on the bottle for hard water (ie. London!) and for the load size. Nice mild scent. Highly recommended.

It works out at Ł1.50 per normal bottle of fairy or whatever which is fine for me! Love having a refill so I don't have to run to the shops on a cold Sunday morning when we run out. Works just like fairy on the dishes and smells nice. No brainer.

We are lucky enough to have soft water in this area but I have heard that this laundry liquid is equally as effective in hard water. We have a septic tank and are always mindful of the products which end up in it! I have already recommended this to my daughter who, like me, likes to use ethically sourced products.

I find the Ecoleaf non-bio does a good job on, (let's be honest - the one thing we really want it to do), getting your clothes clean! rnrnIt has no hideously strong fragrance and has not caused me any allergy issues (som detergents do). Add to that it's great value and all the other good things about it (it doesn't use palm oil, is kind to animals and the environment, helps old ladies across the road and is even nice to its mum - not just at Christmas).rnrnGive it a try...

I bought a smaller one to try, then the larger version. Love it.rnIt washes everything well, although I do need to use the proper wash cycles on my machine now (I used to use the quick 1hr regardless of what went in). I have a large 8kg washer and used a cap and a half per full load. It has a great delicate smell and I combine with the Ecoleaf fabric conditioner too. rnWould recommend.

I usually use Bio D Landry Liquid, Ecoleaf seems cleans bit more than Bio D but I prefer Bio D Landry Liquid over this one. I tried this for first time, I find fragrance is overpowering and smell artificial compare to Bio D. If it didn't smell like this I would switch to this one over Bio D.

Having tried everything from regular supermarket laundry detergents to soap nuts and white vinegar and everything in-between, at last a happy balance between environmental friendliness and results. I tried the smaller bottle first and was so pleased with it I now repeatedly order the 5L bottles. This, combined with Ecover stain remover to spot treat stubborn stains delivers clean fresh washing that smells lovely without being overpowering. I've tried several different eco friendly brands of washing detergent and this is the best in my opinion. I'll with stick this one. Big fan of Ecoleaf/Suma products.

I've been using Ecover to wash my clothes since moving to the UK 2 years ago. Our local shop sells it in bulk so I can refill my own bottle but were out of stock so my husband came home with the Ecoleaf instead. The smell of the Ecoleaf laundry liquid is DISGUSTING and incredibly overpowering! We used it once and I had to re-wash everything the next day after waking up to my entire house stinking like cheap perfume which gave me a huge migraine and made me feel nauseous for hours. I ended up re-washing everything after spraying the clothes with vinegar to try to neutralise to hideous odour. I use Ecoleaf loo roll and other Suma products too because you're a nice ethical company but this product is terrible and made me feel physically sick. I had to empty the rest down the loo (what a waste) as the shop I got it from in Walthamstow didn't want it back. I don't know why anybody would think a perfume this strong would be a good idea for washing clothes?

Love it for its eco-ness. It also dosen't irritate my skin which is a fantastic bonus for me. One comment I feel it's only fair to note, I wash a lot on low temperatures, and it dosen't bring all the stains out of my white teatowels, but I put that down to the water temperature more than the liquid. I also use the minimum amount of liquid, so that could also contribute to the problem. Solution - don't use white teatowels!

This is lovely to use and you only need to use a few capfulls in the wash. It leaves a pleasant smell not over powering as others are. I would receoment this for all washes and especially family washes. A little goes a long way with this product.

Q: How many washes will this do?
A: Good Morning,
Many thanks for your query. The average load takes about 30-60ml of laundry liquid so the 5L bottle will last between 80-160 washes. This will depend on how soiled the laundry is and whether you live in a hard or soft water area.

Thanks for the query. Yes, the plastic bottle and cap can both be recycled via the normal curbside recycling service. Each should be cleaned thoroughly before being recycled.
