Bought for work as do not like plastic taint from plastic and some other stainless kettles I have used. Vacuum feature excellent water stays hot longer. Boils fast ,no bad smells or tastes. Down sides kettle is heavy, pours drip free but slowly, lid must be unscrewed a small amount to remove to enable filling.

Hugely over packaged with plastic covers for everything and protected by polystyrene. The kettle is fine, the button to pour is deeply annoying as its very slow and it takes 6 mins to boil a full kettle. Keeping it warm though is handy. I would suggest a flask and a normal kettle for anyone thinking of this product.rn

We bought a Vektra vacuum kettle from Ethical Superstore. We were pleased with the kettle but rather shocked by the packaging. The kettle was protected in its box by polystyrene blocks, which cannot be disposed of in an environmentally responsible way. Surely the manufacturer could find a better alternative for example shaped cardboard?
