Original Beer Bread Mix - 450g

Now's your chance to try delicious beer bread by making your very own! The hand sewn bag from South African charity Deaf Hands at Work contains all dry ingredients needed to make a loaf of vegan beer bread. All you need to do is add 330ml of a room temperature beer, cider, soft drink or soda water of your choice, mix together and bake. With labels made from locally produced, environmentally friendly paper, this bread mix will make the perfect gift for the eco-conscious. The mix can also be used to batter chicken, fish and onion rings or to make mini loaves or muffins, there is enough mixture for one standard loaf tin.

The beer bread mix is packed by the ladies of the Ukama Community Foundation, and the bag is handcrafted, reusable and created by the women of Deaf Hands and Work.

Free from soya, palm oil, GMOs, artificial flavours, artificial colours and artificial preservatives. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

1. Pre-heat oven to 190˚
2. Pour entire contents of Barrett�s Ridge Original into a bowl.>br?3. Add 1 x 330 ml beer at room temperature.
4. Stir until the batter is thoroughly mixed through.
4. Scrape batter into a buttered loaf tin.
5. For an extra crispy crust, brush your loaf with melted butter before baking.
6. Bake for approximately 45 minutes.
