Bamboo grows 20-30 times faster than trees, produces 35% more oxygen and absorbs 35% more carbon dioxide, making it a much more sustainable and eco-friendly material. It is naturally anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, odour resistant and hypo-allergenic so it is great for sensitive skin.

This paper appears expensive but probably doesn't actually cost more than other good toilet papers because there are 200 sheets per roll, which I think may be more than on other brands, though I don't know if this is a fact. The paper is both strong and much softer than I expected it would be. My only worry has been that as bamboo takes a long time to break down it could cause blockages but so far we have had no problems.

About The Cheeky Panda
The Cheeky Panda was created in January 2016 after Chris and Julie took a trip to China and discovered that 90% of the bamboo harvested was thrown away. The pair are passionate about sustainability and realised the waste bamboo could be used to make truly eco-friendly toilet paper, since 27,000 trees are flushed away as toilet paper every day. Bamboo grows at a much faster rate than trees, and must be harvested once a year or it will flower and attract rodents which can have a devastating effect on the local ecosystem.
Both Chris and Julie have a strong background in business, and their passion for the environment has helped The Cheeky Panda toilet tissue become a reality.
