Product Description

More antioxidants than most other white teas.

Tested by The Tea Research Institute of China, Qi White tea has the highest level of antioxidants compared to other white teas.

Qi Organic White tea is notable for its very light gently sweet and delicate taste. The brew is light with a yellow/orange brown colour.

The two vital ingredients are: the quality of the leaf – using only very small leaves and bud, and the preparation – natural sun drying. The special procedures for the preparation of Qi White Tea were developed under expert advice Chen Qi Quen – grand tea master in China.

25 Tea bags

These teabags are heat sealed and therefore contain a small amount of plastic - food grade polypropylene.

It is white tea... It tastes like white tea! Makes much more than 1 cup per bag though.rnShame it's not plastic free (the box is wrapped in cellophane, but I guess there no other way to prevent it getting wet) but the bags are plastic and staple free :) rn

This is a lovely white tea, with a soft flavour, and in our 'family blind taste test' it won first place! :)

Excellent product. While white tea has an inherently gentle flavour, this has more depth than other brands I have tried. As it should be, no bitterness. Love it.

Q: I'm looking for an alternative to ordinary black tea for my health. Can you tell me what white tea tastes like? i have dabbled with different fruit teas but i've never had this. many thanks

A: White tea is similar to green tea, in that it's undergone very little processing and no fermentation. But there is a noticeable difference in taste. Most green teas have a distinctive 'grassy' taste to them, but white tea does not. The flavour is described as light, and sweet. You should steep white tea in water that is below the boiling point.
There is also considerably less caffeine in white tea than the other varieties (15mg per serving, compared to 40mg for black tea, and 20mg for green).

About Qi

Qi

Qi Teas are proud to present us with a delightful range of their finest organic and fair trade teas in partnership with the mountain communities of China. The company was set up in 1997 after its founder, Joe d’Armenia, made an inspirational voyage of discovery to China. His journey took him to regions of outstanding remote and unspoilt natural beauty and tranquillity, and the tea gardens of the Yellow Mountain region.

The teas he searched out are rich and aromatic in their flavours and fragrances. They are Soil Association certified to give a guarantee of their organic status, which means they are free from all harmful chemical, pesticides and herbicides found in non-organic goods, and can be traced right back to the plant in the tea garden. The teas are also Fair Trade labelled, which gives the assurance that all involved in the production of this tea received a fair deal.

The name Qi is taken from ancient Chinese teachings which state that Qi is the lifeforce and natural energy of life. As such, Qi teas are intended to help you achieve equilibrium as part of a good diet and healthy lifestyle.
