Product Description

Make saving fun with this fair trade ceramic piggy bank with removable stopper, hand painted in a bright rainbow pattern. The charming money box is a great gift idea for a loved one or yourself to save your pennies and is made by skilled artisan producers in Thailand.

The rainbow painted piggy bank is made in a medium size ceramics factory in Lampang, northern Thailand. The factory has been running for about 20 years and a WFTO auditor found that most workers are happy with conditions there, are paid on time and consider it a comfortable workplace. Many of them have been working there for over 15 years. The factory provides work for many people in the local area who otherwise would find it hard to find jobs. Working conditions and safety standards were found by the WFTO auditor to be excellent, and the factory supports employment for the local transsexual community.
