A family favourite, this homemade ginger preserve is made with chunks of fresh stem ginger to give it fresh bite and texture. Great on toast, fruit loaf, as a topping for porridge and more, it is enjoyed by all. First sweet and fruity it finishes off with a warming hit of ginger, an unsung hero which can be used in fruitcakes or in sauces for chicken and pork too. It attractively presented in a Kilner style glass jar with ceramic lid, making it an ideal gift or stocking filler.
