We get bombarded with tips on how to reduce our plastic use from everywhere – about as much as we get bombarded with adverts for single use plastics! I know we\u2019ve offered our own tips many a time, but there are still always more ways you\u2019ll never think about. Plus, we are always adding to our range of products to help you reduce your plastic waste, and with this week being the beginning of Plastic Free July<\/a>, there is no better time to showcase them.<\/p>\n

Lunch Boxes & Food Wraps<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Natural<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We\u2019re all guilty of wrapping our sandwiches in cling film, or putting snacks in a little plastic bag. To get around this, we would always recommend using a lunch box or bag. We have some gorgeous metal Tiffin Tins<\/a> or recycled lunch bags<\/a> in different patterns to suit everyone\u2019s style.<\/p>\n

Our newest arrivals are the Abeego Food Wraps<\/a>. These organic cotton and hemp wraps will keep food fresher for longer, ideal for keeping leftovers fresher for longer, or wrapping your lunch!<\/p>\n

Reusable Sanitary Products<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You may not know this, but regular brands of sanitary pads and tampons contain plastic, and I don\u2019t know about you but I certainly don\u2019t want it in my pants! Menstrual cups are the way forward. These little silicone cups hold more liquid than tampons, and they are just as easy to use. The thought of a menstrual cup might make you feel a little squeamish, but more and more women are opting to use them, not only are they better for the environment but they are much more cost effective too! We offer the Mooncup<\/a> and Organicup<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve also recently listed Bloom & Nora<\/a> reusable sanitary pads, made from soft, sustainable materials with a super absorbent core. Again, these are not only great for the environment, they will also save you money in the long term \u2013 plus they\u2019re really pretty!<\/p>\n

Reusable Nappies<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Eco<\/p>\n

This one is for all the parents of small children. Every year around 3 billion<\/strong> disposable nappies are thrown away. Many regular brands are made with plastic parts that are not biodegradable, meaning they will stick around our landfill sites long after we are gone. Thankfully reusable nappies have come a long way since the days of a terry towel and safety pins. We have some great additions from gNappies<\/a> and Totsbots<\/a>, which are so easy to use, and come with washable or disposable inserts.<\/p>\n

Ditch Microbeads<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Microbead<\/p>\n

Microbeads<\/a> are causing a bit of a stir in the worlds right now. A few countries have introduced bans on the use of these micro plastics in cosmetics (find out more about them in last week’s blog post<\/a>). Ditch the microbeads and use eco-friendly toothpaste, or a natural body scrub \u2013 you could even make your own using our recipe<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Natural Clothing<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Another great way to reduce your plastic use is by wearing clothes made from natural fibres like bamboo, organic cotton and hemp.
