The avocado is a substitute for mayo in this particular sandwich for something a bit different and slightly healthier. It&#8217;s a really simple recipe, you can make it in about 5 minutes, have it with a bit of salad for lunch or even for a quick snack!<\/p>\n<p>This recipe makes two toasties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You Will Need<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 Slices whole wheat bread<\/li>\n<li>1 160g Tin of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ethicalsuperstore.com\/products\/fish-4-ever\/fish-4-ever-skipjack-tuna-chunks-in-spring-water---160g\/\">Tuna<\/a><\/li>\n<li>1\/2 Avocado, sliced<\/li>\n<li>1 Pinch <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ethicalsuperstore.com\/products\/geo-organics\/geo-organics-atlantic-sea-salt-crystals-250g\/\">sea salt<\/a><\/li>\n<li>1 Pinch black pepper<\/li>\n<li>1 Medium tomato, sliced<\/li>\n<li>4 Red lettuce leaves<\/li>\n<li>4 Slices cheese<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8926\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ethicalsuperstore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Tuna-melt-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1564\" height=\"1564\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ethicalsuperstore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Tuna-melt-2.jpg 1564w, https:\/\/www.ethicalsuperstore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Tuna-melt-2-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.ethicalsuperstore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Tuna-melt-2-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ethicalsuperstore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Tuna-melt-2-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.ethicalsuperstore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Tuna-melt-2-160x160.jpg 160w, https:\/\/www.ethicalsuperstore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Tuna-melt-2-320x320.jpg 320w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1564px) 100vw, 1564px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> In a medium bowl, mix tuna, avocado, salt and pepper until completely combined.<br \/>\n<strong>2.<\/strong> On one slice of bread place the cheese, tuna, tomatoes, lettuce and then another slice of cheese. Top with another slice of bread and spread butter on the outside slices. Repeat with the other two slices of bread and mixture.<br \/>\n<strong>3.<\/strong> Add the sandwiches (butter side down) to a skillet over medium heat and cook for 3-4 minutes or until the bread is lightly browned.
