I know how difficult it can be to get out of bed on a normal day, I\u2019m known for pressing \u2018snooze\u2019 on my alarm so many time I may as well not set one, so I definitely understand why waking up on a dark day will be almost impossible. The Bodyclock is designed to wake you up naturally and rather than being jerked awake by a loud noise, your body gets used to the waking process so that you won\u2019t feel the need to hit snooze for another ten minutes (or in my case an hour!) The light is a signal boost for your body to ease the production of sleep hormones like melatonin and to increase levels of the hormones that help you wake up, for example cortisol.
