In a recent Facebook poll during Fairtrade Fortnight, we asked our followers which Fairtrade labelled<\/a> goods would they buy. \u00a0The responses were plentiful but somewhat unimaginative with bananas being top, then coffee<\/a>, tea <\/a>and chocolate<\/a> and not much else!<\/p>\n

This lead me to think, “are bananas, chocolate and caffeinated drinks all anyone knows about Fairtrade?!” \u00a0Surely not!<\/p>\n

Fairtrade can be part of ANY supply chain. \u00a0With it’s roots firmly working towards the well-being and advancement of humanity, its principles of fairness can be applied to almost anything. \u00a0It’s about consideration. \u00a0Where do the things we take for granted every day come from? \u00a0Under what conditions do those involved in the supply chain live?<\/p>\n

\"Fairtrade<\/a>Whilst it’s easy to turn a blind eye, some organisations and businesses are dedicated to making a difference to this. \u00a0Their aim is focused on awareness, on education and again, on the future of the planet and its inhabitants. \u00a0Fair Squared <\/a>are one of those businesses who have gone from strength to strength and are doing a sterling job for the cause.<\/p>\n
