Warehouse supervisor

Hours:40 Hours (Required to work Saturday Mornings and evenings in Oct - January)

Terms: Full time post

We are currently looking for a Warehouse supervisor to join our rapidly expanding warehousing and fulfillment team. The ideal candidate is someone who is highly organized with hands on experience and has the ability to make things happen.

The job holder will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Organise daily/weekly work load for the Warehouse team ensuring staff are competent in all fulfilment areas
  • Develop team members identifying areas in which staff require training/ retraining
  • Support the Warehouse Manager in the selection process for Temporary staff
  • Capacity- organise staff for work patterns/ overtime.
  • Motivate staff to match and exceed business targets.
  • Optimise fulfilment output reducing mistakes and breakages.
  • Enforce overall package presentation and shipping rules
  • Execute stock take activities on a weekly/monthly basis as per business need.
  • Supervise stock replenishment, rotation and availability to ensure optimum picking times.
  • Oversee booking in procedures and priorities for incoming goods.
  • Support the Warehouse Manager in planning for the receipt of new and current products
  • Working to KPI’s assigning labour to meet these requirements.

Other Tasks:

  • Support the Warehouse Manager in meeting daily and monthly despatch targets
  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment identifying hazards etc
  • Ensure staff are aware (and where necessary reminded of) requirements of conduct, punctuality, endeavour, behaviour, Health and safety.
  • Carry out other duties, which may or may not be related to the job, as reasonably requested by the management.

Personal Specifications:

  • Computer literate with good experience working with Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Experience in a supervisory position within the commercial sector (2-4years)
  • Experience working in a fulfillment environment
  • Supervisory qualification or equivalent.
  • Fork Lift trained
  • Experienced in staff training
  • An ability to make things happen
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Sense of humour
  • Able to cope with change and stressful situations
