Noah’s Ark was begun by Samuel Masih in Morabad, Northern India, in 1986. It was intended to establish an alternative was of trading for local craftspeople, ensuring that artisans would be able to achieve the best rates available, and free them from the exploitation which Masih himself had previously been a victim of. Since its beginnings the organisation has come a long way, and is now able to offer support and provide a market to over 300 craftspeople.
