Q: Hi,
Just set up Solitary Bee Hive and its going great but lost instructions,so does the box need cleaning at any stage and if so when ?
Ray
A: Hi, we've been in contact with Wildlife World, the manufacturers of this Bee Hive and they state that "generally, it's not necessary to clean as the bees will do it usually and there is only a small window for cleaning in the spring between emerging bees and refilling. However, if the house is not in use, the design allows for cleaning by undoing the wing nuts and removing the trays."
I hope this is helpful. Robyn.
