Lovely versatile ingredient for many soups, stews dahls etc. Takes on other flavours really well. Can just be chucked into your pan, no soaking needed. I love suma's credentials, but I find the packaging can split on opening.

Q: Does this product require soaking before cooking and if so, for how long?

A: These Red Split Lentils need to be washed in cold water, and then boiled in unsalted water for 20 - 30 minutes. I hope this helps, Robyn.
