My sun jar sits on my bedroom window and creates a wonderful chilled atmosphere when the natural light in the room fades; very relaxing!

I use these (both colours) as night lights in the kids' rooms. They are sweet but not entirely reliable, in winter, against a window they recharge very little and the switches on both are temperamental. Also the internal architecture is not entirely robust so they don't stand up to moving around a lot. However, the kids like them and when they work (in summer mainly) they are pretty and comforting.

The Moon Jar is a wonderful bit of kit. What looks like any other jar takes on an eerie yet soothing glow once the lights go out. As far as night lights go, this can't really be beaten.

Q: travel outside usa where there is no power. Going with my familes needs something to use when i got there.
battery backup that would charge or recharge in the hot area
A: The sun jar blue - can store charge, but it best suited for providing subtle / mood lighting, if you are after more conventional lighting - say to read a book by I'd recommend checking out the Freeplay indigo or the Baylis Eco Lantern
