Q: I need this for a dog trailer, need to know if the solar panel could be fitted on top of trailer while fan was inside, I realise I would have to lengthen wire and and put a cage over blades of fan,
A: Unfortunately the fan would not be powerful enough for using in this manner. Thomas

Q: does it have an on off switch? and if fully charged how long would it last before panel needs to be recharge by sun energy?
A: The Solar Powered fan doesn't have an on/off switch, instead the blade spins when the solar panel is exposed to direct sunlight, and stops when shaded. This means that unfortunately the fan doesn't maintain a charge after it has been removed from the sun, but it is good fun to build and experiment with. Jo.
