I bought one of these for our back garden, but have found that due to the positioning of our house, the less than reasonable weather & lack of sunlight onto the solar panel... the rechargeable batteries run out very quickly! Am upgrading the batteries from 900mAh to 1700mAh, & in poorer weather just put normal AA batteries into it! Just don't want to have an outside light running from the mains electric. Dougy

Q: What is the range of the motion detector?

A: The motion sensor that activates the light has a field of vision of between 0.5 and 10 meters (in front of the light) and about 120° horizontal. I hope this helps, Jo.

Q: Can you please tell me whether the light unit is adjustable, ie that you can change the direction of the beam? Thank you.

A: The Solar Mate Secure 1 has a fully adjustable lamp head for optimum beam orientation, and its PIR sensor has variable burn time and sensitivity settings.
