Having tested this out on my own (long) hair, I would now recommend this product for women too.
There is a bit of a technique to washing very long hair with this, and unfortunately it does require quite hot water. You may also find you need to repeat the wash.
However, the result is really soft and thick hair; not frizzy or "flyaway" even with fine hair, so for the first time ever I didn't need conditioner!
This DOES get your hair clean, but it is a real, natural clean, not a "sripped-of-its-natural-oils" squeaky clean, so if you are used to this "squeak" as an indication that your hair's clean you'll have to get used to the difference. In fact, until it is completely dry, hair can still feel a bit greasy; once dry, it is well worth the wait.
Saves time in the shower as you don't have to muck about with separate(and wastefully-packaged) plastic bottles of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner etc.
The ONLY "negative" thing about this is that it leaves a scum round the bath, but since most Greens are using the shower nowadays anyway this is hardly a consideration. don't be put off by the really low price; although it isn't expensive, it certainly isn't "cheap".
Finally, this lasts ages; we have used it about 6 times between us and it doesn't appear to have been used much at all.
