I bought this clock June 07 for my partners birthday from the ethical superstore and the it lasted just over a year, not two. So now we have to purchase new cells to get any more use from it.

Q: If the H2O battery has a life of 2 years what after that? Where can I buy a new one? Do I need to buy a new clock?
A: The H2O battery has a continuous-use lifespan of approx two years. After that you can replace the batteries with H2O Replacement Cells at a cost of only £5 for two. Marty

Q: If the clock runs on water, does that mean it's waterproof? I'm looking for something to go in the bathroom, so I can keep an eye on how long I take in the shower... but it gets steamy in there!
A: I'm afraid that it's not waterproof, the clock is powered by an innovative water powered battery, which utilises two electrodes consisting of specially formulated alloys, one positive, and the other negative. When immersed in water an electrochemical reaction takes place resulting in the production of electrical energy. However the clock also uses conventional digital technology, which isn't designed to be submerged in water - sorry, John.
