Had mine for a month or so and really pleased. Heats as little as a mugful and with the eco (85C) setting does so in around 40 seconds. Choosing eco or normal boil is easy (not as shown in the image but using a simple left-down or right-down lever to turn the kettle on). Apart from coffee and herbal tea, I've found another great use for the lower setting: hot-water bottles (into which you should never pour boiling water).
Looks and feels great: simple stylish colours and light to carry. The pointed spout is a small but noticeable improvement on my last kettle, but the pièce de résistance: the water reservoir glows blue when heating - probably quite practical for the hard of hearing, but pleasant to look at regardless.

Verified product owner This kettle is so good we even bought one for my sister in Switzerland! It's so much quicker - it's easy to understand how it saves electricity. And it's stylish to boot, we've had several flattering comments from friends.

I was a bit worried about using this with instant coffee as I like mine quite hot, but it was a very good temperature. The granules were dissolved, and the taste was quite good, although I'll have to get used to it being less bitter. The 'eco' 80 degree setting also worked very well for my instant hot chocolate. rnrnIts very very fast when using the 'eco' setting - I'll be using this all the time. Its such a sensible idea, just fill it up to the right level the first time. There's a hidden element, so you can fill it as little as you like.

Q: Does this kettle have the whistle when boiled.
A: This kettle has a handy on/off whistle function, great if you like to hear when your water has boiled, and even better to be able to turn it off if you don't! The water reservoir also glows blue when heating, to give extra indication of when the kettle is in use. Jo.

Q: Hi there! I've just read the pdf instructions for this kettle and would like to check something, please. If I've read it correctly it states that if the switch is switched to the proper boil function it illuminates green, and if it is to the eco function it illuminates red - is this correct, as the most obvious way would be for the eco function to be green and the boiling function to be red? Seems like the Morphy Richards boffins may have got this a bit "wrong" somewhere along the line if it is correct?! Thanks!
A: Hi, I have contacted Morphy Richards and they have confirmed the PDF is printed incorrectly. Well noticed! When switched to normal boiling, there is a red indicator, when switched to eco boiling, there is a green indicator on the switch, which makes much more sense. I hope this helps, Robyn.
