I have SAD and before the Lumie I used to wake up every winter morning with a headache and a sore throat, feeling like death. The lamp comes on so gradually it's just like being woken up by the sun on a summer's day. Also in reverse, the light slowly fading is a great way to feel sleepy. I'd be lost without mine.
