Q: How does the Standby Buster work? I mean, how do you turn off your product when using it?

A: The system is remote controlled. If this is your first Standby Buster purchase, you would probably be better off with the Standby Buster Value Pack which contains three sockets and the remote control. Thomas.

Q: Our tv does not have an on-off button - it has to remain on standby unless we turn it off at the socket. I had started doing this but then I heard that this will possibly affect the reliability of the tv. Will a product such as this have a detrimental effect on my set?

A: Using this product will have the same effect as switching the TV set off at the mains - so if the TV manufacturer's advise against this, then we wouldn't recommend this product. John.
