My husband and I live in a soft-water area, and we use Ecover dishwasher tablets with Ecover rinse aid and generic dishwasher salt. We tried Bio-D dish detergent, but it left a filmy residue on all of our crockery and glasses. We switched to Ecover, and literally in the first wash, our glasses came out sparkling and completely clean. Ecover is also far superior in removing food residue than Bio-D. It's worth paying a bit more for a very superior product.

These are the best dishwasher tablets you can buy. They do a good job on the dishes, are good for the environment and are safe for my septic tank.
