Q: What are the effects of these enzymes on the aquatic life? If these enzymes cut through grease, hair and similar substances, is it not going to start breaking down skin and furr of animals living in water? Can these enzymes be filtered in water treatment plants?
A: The Earth Enzymes Drain Opener does state that it may cause mild eye and skin irritation. However, with regards to aquatic life we are unable to advise as this product has not been tested on animals, although, the enzymes used in this product are Proteolytic which occur naturally in all organisms.
