Initially I thought I was mad buying this but it is fabulous. The motor control means that the strength of the airflow is variable rather than limiting you to 2 or 3 settings, it is quiet and the airflow isn't turbulent which means you can read a magazine with the fan blowing! The simplicity and neatness of the design also really appeals once you get past the slightly odd looks when you explain it's a fan. It is the first Dyson product I have ever bought but I may now be a convert.
