Have definitely made a shift to sesame oil for cooking, from olive oils. The smell of the roasted version is loved by a gifted cook. We find this oil does well with the heat needed in a frying pan. Issue - what temp does your oil smoke at & does it leave residue on ceramic non stick.

Sesame oil isn't to everybody's palate, but the taste of this oil isn't over powering - it's rich but not strong. The texture is also quite thick and perfect for adding a spoon or two to a portion after cooking. It's also great for oil pulling.
