I bought two eco kettles with the intention of finding if they were practical for use in bedrooms of an eco friendly guest house. They boil very quickly & efficiently. Unfortunately however they must be refilled through their top or spout which requires a much larger than normal clearance between tap and bottom of a sink than you need for a standard room kettle because of the round design of their base . You actually need quite a large sink to refill the kettle from & so I won't be buying any more until I get larger bedroom washbasins! Good for large kitchen sinks--bad for small basins
