Hemp Stationery Set

Hemp Stationery Set

I really like this set; the pad (40 sheets)is a generous size, midway between A4 and A5, and the colour is a very pleasant off-white. The paper is good quality and quite thick, so ideal if you use real ink and want to use both sides of the paper without the ink going right through as with some paper.

The envelopes have a small message on the back about the content, which means every time you send a letter you spread the word about using hemp and recycled paper.

An essential bit of bathroom kit for scruffy teenage boys who only spend a couple of seconds in direct contact with water.
This smells nice without being "girly" and really does work effectively as a shampoo. Also, apparently it doesn't make as much unnecessary foam as normal shampoo, so requires even less time under the shower!
Verdict: "Awesome!"

Having tested this out on my own (long) hair, I would now recommend this product for women too.
There is a bit of a technique to washing very long hair with this, and unfortunately it does require quite hot water. You may also find you need to repeat the wash.
However, the result is really soft and thick hair; not frizzy or "flyaway" even with fine hair, so for the first time ever I didn't need conditioner!
This DOES get your hair clean, but it is a real, natural clean, not a "sripped-of-its-natural-oils" squeaky clean, so if you are used to this "squeak" as an indication that your hair's clean you'll have to get used to the difference. In fact, until it is completely dry, hair can still feel a bit greasy; once dry, it is well worth the wait.
Saves time in the shower as you don't have to muck about with separate(and wastefully-packaged) plastic bottles of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner etc.
The ONLY "negative" thing about this is that it leaves a scum round the bath, but since most Greens are using the shower nowadays anyway this is hardly a consideration. don't be put off by the really low price; although it isn't expensive, it certainly isn't "cheap".
Finally, this lasts ages; we have used it about 6 times between us and it doesn't appear to have been used much at all.

This really is the most delicious and satisfying muesli I've eaten; it's the combination of textures and different flavours, along with the fact only a small amount is needed to keep you feeling full of energy until lunchtime.
There are plenty of goji berries - small, sweet berries packed with antioxidants - and pieces of yacun - a sort of root which has a very faint gingery taste. Unlike many commercial mueslis, there are no cheap "bulking" ingredients either, which makes this incredibly good value for money by comparison.
We've tried it with soya milk and also soaked for 10 minutes in apple juice, but you could add yoghurt and additional fruit, or even make it up like porridge as suggested on the pack.

This is a great little low-tech gadget! It holds onto the honey so you can get it into your hot drinks (or your mouth..!) more easily.
Also great for other spreads with a similar consistency, e.g molasses etc.

This is by far the most delicious, exquisitely flavoured chocolate around. It tastes of orange oil and cinnamon, and something you can never quite put your finger on...all the more reason to have another piece. Even if you don't like dark chocolate you'll probably still love this. Oh, and forget the diet girls: it tastes sublime melted, wrapped in pancakes, with a dollop of G&B's Vanilla ice cream on top. Decadent or what?!

These are definitely very scrummy, but are much more like a cake although they look like waffles; but the appeal of waffles is that they can be heated up, and as these are chocolate-covered,they can't. this does mean you don't get the full waffle effect. A bit on the dry side, but lovely dipped in coffee/drinking chocolate, which makes up for it!

These are lovely! The colours are even nicer than they appear in the picture, 2 in a deep red with deep purple, orange and gold, and 1 in orange. The towels themselves are made of good quality Fair Trade cotton, and they are slightly larger than the average tea towel, with the addition of a hanging loop.

Very reasonably priced and the bonus of course is that the people who make them actually benefit from their work. I'll definitely be ordering more of these, and they would also make nice house-warming gifts.

This is so versatile! It can be used as a base for pasta sauces, stews, curries, chilli etc. and it also makes the perfect base for a warming Tomato and Basil soup. Just add chopped organic carrots, onion, garlic, some red lentils and seasoning, and a dash of Olive Oil for a thick warming soup, add Miso at the last minute, then serve with home made sun-dried tomato and herb bread warm from the oven.

Apricot & Orange Low Fat Fingers
These are so gorgeous they are worth going all the way to Melmerby for. Fortunately my relatives live about 200m from the village Bakery. But if you aren't lucky enough to have had access to the Village Bakery products before, well you don't know how nice the Ethical superstore folk are to give you the chance to try them, wherever you live!
These bars are something I would definitely recommend: unlike all the usual crunchy, granola type bars, they are naturally sweet, the flavours coming out as you chew, the way food should be. They're really orangey and have a generous amount of lovely chewy apricot pieces in them too.
They are vegan,gluten-free, organic and Fairly Traded. what more do you need?
Oh, and children love them too, so better get more than one box if you actually want to eat some yourself.
They are ideal for packed lunch boxes for work, outings etc. and go really well with Clipper organic drinking chocolate.
