We've had ours a year and a few weeks and sadly it has just 'died'. It definitely boiled quickly and am sure it saved us fuel-money. However it did dribble water from the central chamber out of the spout when pouring, occaisionally 'spat' out hot water (usually onto my hand!) when pouring and if boiled twice in fairly close succession (eg if unaware that someone else had recently boiled it) the handle became extremely hot to hold. I would definitely buy another if these problems had been remedied, otherwise I'm sorry I'd choose any 'eco' alternative.
