Having now used the Solio for over a year (my first outing with it was the slightly damp Glastonbury Festival 2007), I can safely say that it is a great piece of kit.
Being a keen festival goer, having a means of avoiding the dreaded 'no battery' symbol on my phone is essential. The unit charges my phone (Apple iPhone) quickly and easily, and has yet to let me down. It has seen the best and worst of the British weather, and come out of the other end in one slight mud-scarred piece.
When faced with a decent amount of sunlight, the Solio is in its element. The red light on the rear clearly shows the intensity of the light, and therefore the rate of charge, and a full charge has been gained in a single (albeit remarkably clear and sunny) day.
The ability of the Solio to act as a portable battery pack is very useful. I can keep it charged up by leaving it on a window-sill at home, and when it is needed I simply pack it up and throw it in my bag, ready for use whenever it may be needed. The days of my phone running out of juice are now, thankfully, long gone.
The only drawback I can find is the slightly temperamental control system. It can sometimes be difficult to get the unit to stop discharging after unplugging a device, and it can take a minute or so of fiddling with the button to stop the telltale green light from flashing.

The Moon Jar is a wonderful bit of kit. What looks like any other jar takes on an eerie yet soothing glow once the lights go out. As far as night lights go, this can't really be beaten.

Featuring rich blackberry tones, and a wonderfully oak and plum aftertaste which lingers far longer than can reasonably be expected, this wine simply has to be tried to be believed. An added bonus was the improvements to my reputation amongst my guests for selecting a good bottle, which has taken a battering in recent weeks due to some slightly dubious selections. This, thankfully, was not one of them.
Unfortunately, the discovery of the Soluna has one downside - the relegation of my previous favourite tipple, the Los Robles Carmenere, to second place, but it would be such a shame to indulge in favouritism... wouldn't it?
