I've been using these for well over a year now and I've had no problems at all.

I have to query anyone that says these do not work and leaves their clothes smelly. Maybe its just your machine? Who knows. The only time I ever got less than stellar results were when the balls were wearing out. I refilled and presto back to normal.

I've used these on my work shirts (white) at 40oC and they still cleaned fine. Actually I've even used these at the min temperature of the machine (below 30oC) and they've still worked.

They work much better than the powder or liquid I have used in the past. Clothes are definitely as clean and more fresh than before.

Its a shame that you cannot use these in greater than 60oC water temp though. I use other eco friendly liquid for those high temperature jobs. It's the one thing stopping me from giving a 5 rating.
