Olive oil is an integral part of the Palestinian economy and culture, with olive trees being passed through generations of the same family.
Zaytoun Olive Oil is described by wine and food writer Malcolm Gluck as: “One of the least aggressive yet pungently attractive olive oils I have tasted. It is in the rich nourishing class of the best of the fruity Sicilian, Cretan, and northern Spanish oils and its beautiful green cloudiness bespeaks of care and judicious handling.”
The olive trees in Palestine, from which Zaytoun’s oil is produced, are never harvested either by night or by machine.

Anything Palestinian will be worth while!
I have been buying this product for years. It really is the very best olive oil.
The price has, unfortunately, increased considerably but I suppose that is understandable under the circumstances, with Zionist 'settlers' harassing the growers, chopping down and uprooting the trees.
If you haven't tried it, please do - you'll love it. If you have, please keep buying it to help our brothers and sisters in Palestine.

About Zaytoun
Zaytoun is a non-profit company established to support marginalised farming communities in Palestine through the production of olive oil and other olive products. The welfare of local farming communities and development of the agricultural infrastructure in Palestine is of the utmost importance to Zaytoun, and as such they operate as a fair trading company, and have recently achieved Fairtrade Certification for a selection of their range.
Palestine is the home of the olive tree, with some of the oldest olive groves in the world, dating back as far back as 2000 years old. The country’s Mediterranean climate, rich fertile soil and Zaytoun’s use of organic traditional farming methods ensure that these olive products are always of outstanding quality.
