This honey has a distinctive, rich and creamy flavour. It is packed at low temperature so that you enjoy it in its raw state, fresh from the hive. Delicious raw, or as a great sugar substitute for sugar in baking.

About the Supplier: 6,000 beekeepers supply us with their honey, confident that they can raise their families on the income guaranteed by the Fairtrade market.

Wild swarms occupy the hives and start filling them with honeycombs. After a couple of years the beekeepers return, climb the trees and crop the honey, leaving half for the bees.

Gathered from the wild bees deep in the remote miombo forests of North West Zambia, where beekeepers hang their bark hives high in the trees out of reach of honey badgers and army ants.

It's organic honey (it's gathered from deep in the Zambian rain forest) and it's also been fairly traded. Fairtrade labelled honey that's been made by wild bees must be the ultimate in free range honey!
