Trevor Baylis, inventor of the wind-up radio and all manner of other cool stuff, has done it again. Ideal for camping trips, festivals, travelling or anywhere else where you may not have a ready source of electricity, the wind-up eco lantern may just be a stroke of design genius.
The lantern itself is made up of 5 super-bright LEDs which should last a lifetime. One minute spent winding the hand crank built into the base of the lantern will give you twenty minutes of light, and when fully charged the lantern will last for up to four hours on the full setting. There is also a second 'night-light' setting which can last for up to sixty hour. The Trevor Baylis Eco Lantern is also weatherproof, and therefore suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
