Make your rice dishes with this delicious Basmati Rice. Famed for its fragrance and delicate flavour, this rice takes its name from the Hindi language, meaning 'Fragrance'. Basmati is a light, fluffy rice, and is the perfect choice for Indian or Chinese meals.
Brown rice is a healthier alternative to white rice, as it retains most of its natural goodness. Only the outer husk is removed, not like its white alternative, which is processed more thoroughly.
Cooking instructions: Due to its high starch content, we recommend that you wash this rice prior to cooking. This will enhance the quality and enjoyment of the rice.
About our Supplier: This particular rice is sourced through Agrocel, an organisation promoting the development of small family farms in the Kuruksheta region of Haryanan State, India. Agrocel work with roughly 20 different farms in this region to produce this rice. By working with Agrocel not only do farmers get a better price, they also receive technical assistance and services, and are encouraged to develop sustainable agriculture.
