lovely smell but shake well

I have been hunting down a good inexpensive eco-deodorant for a long time and was excited to find this product which has a nice smell and keeps me fresh all day. However, I did used to have a mild allergic reaction to it: slight tingling and redness for ~30 mins after applying. Odd, seeing as I'm not allergic to anything I know of. So I started to look at the ingredients, but spotted that it says SHAKE WELL. Now that I shake well before applying I've had no allergic reaction.

I have had allergic reactions to some of the most skin- and eco-friendly deodorants out there because I am allergic to lavender directly on skin. This deodorant is gentle with a subtle fragrance, which I prefer to completely perfume-free stuff, and even after over a year of use I've had no adverse reaction. I have used both solid and roll-on forms; both work well. rnrnIt's worth noting that if you are a long-term antiperspirant user, it can take a while for your skin to "get the gunk out" once you stop, so it may take a while before a non-antiperspirant deodorant seems to work. But do persevere, because it's better for you and does work once things are "rebalanced".
My husband has also started to prefer this! We've tried many different brands and other "flavours" of Tom's of Maine, but we both seem to have settled on this one. I only wish it were cheaper to buy in bulk!

I was slightly new dubious as I was new to trying the natural products, but I was very impressed and will buy again, I also want to try other tom's of maine products :) It smells lovely, lasts all day and doesn't sting like many of the chemical brands do for me. and guilt free :) I very much would recommend to give this a go, as well as their tooth pastes! (but on your teeth. . .)

Q: Is this deodorant aluminium free?

A: As it contains hectorite, this deodorant cannot be certified as aluminium free, hope this helps.
