Not content with being the creators of one of the most useful gadgets ever seen here at ethicalsuperstore, Solar Technology have come up with the perfect partner for their best selling Freeloader Solar Charger, with this brand new, and very clever AA/AAA battery charger add-on.
Simply insert the rechargeable batteries in the charger (2 AAs included), and plug the unit into your Freeloader Solar Charger, and the batteries will charge in a 1 to 2 hours from a fully charged Freeloader. The unit can also be plugged into a spare USB socket on your computer, and the batteries will charge in 3 to 4 hours.
The really clever bit though, is that if your Freeloader Solar Charger is dead, you can use the Battery Charger to top it up, as long as the batteries in it are fully charged - you really need never be caught without power again.
Complete with a built in flashlight which is powered from the internal battery, this is definitely a great bit of kit for the gadget lover.

Q: Will this item recharge batteries when connected to the freeloader indoors(in a sunny window or in a car) as well as outdoors in sunlight? Or should I say which types of radiation of the electromagnetic spectrum are actually absorbed by the charger and do these pass through glass / other transparent materials
A: The Freeloader will charge in indirect sunlight; i.e. behind glass/indoors, as such, if the Battery Charger is connected to the Freeloader, it will recharge batteries due to the charge held in it. The charging time does increase with indirect sunlight. As a note, a fully charged Freeloader battery can deliver up to 75% full charge to two batteries.
