These soap nuts can be used in place of your normal washing powder or liquid, just put a few of the nuts in the cloth bag provided. They are a completely renewable, biodegradable material that can be put on the compost heap once spent. These nuts can provide relief to people with allergies, allow colours to remain brighter for longer, and avoid the use of softener. They are great value too – providing up to 70 washes per 350g box (using 3-4 whole shells for a 3-4 kilo wash load). Why don’t you give them a try? You’d be nuts not to.
Biodegradable laundry cleaning grown from a tree…
The soap nut tree grows in India and produces these amazing nuts, which have a 12-14% saponin content. These particular soap nuts are collected by tribal people and small-scale farmers in India and then fairly traded with Planet Pure, who guarantees these farmers are paid a fair price for the nuts. The nuts are then packaged in Austria, as part of the amazing social project.
Please note: We do not recommend that this product is used by people with nut allergies.
