These 10 Remarkable HB pencils started out life as something very different. Their story begins back in 1996, when the company itself started out with no less than the humble pencil.
The boffin at the heart of it all, Edward Douglas Miller, decided that just because no one had made a pencil out of a plastic cup before, it didn’t mean that it couldn’t be done. He was right, and Remarkable have been producing all sorts of, well, remarkable stationery ever since.
Remarkable now produces its pencils using not only plastic cups, but also CD cases, polystyrene packing and all sorts of other things – in fact the sky’s the limit! The important idea at the heart of it all is that Remarkable is helping the nation’s recycling effort, so get on board, get scribbling, and you too can do your bit.

Q: Do these pencils have the phrase "I used to be a ....." on them?
A: The text on these pencils reads "Remarkble HB pencil: Made from recycled plastic."
