One Village

One Village is an independent foundation begun in 1979 with the aim of providing long term committed support to cooperatives and community enterprises in less advantaged areas of the world.  They work to emphasise the importance of the producers’ roots by encouraging expression of the style or cultural traditions of the makers.  The materials and processes which are used are selected with regard to the environment, and each article is well designed and finished to the highest quality. 
One Village is all about trying to show that the world really is one small and interdependent community. We have selected a range of their beautifully handcrafted products, hoping that they’ll fulfil another One Village aim, that the finished articles will enhance the quality of life of each lucky owner.
