These gorgeous colourful rugs are hand-woven by skilled crafts people in India, using traditional skills passed down the generations. Featuring an attractive two tone stripe, these fairly traded rugs will look lovely in any room of your house.
The people who make these rugs had been struggling to find a way to export their goods internationally for some time, our supplier has helped them achieve this while ensuring they receive a fair price for their work.

Q: Hello. My mother has recently been diagnosed with formaldehyde sensitivity, which means that the fumes given off by the fireproofing chemicals found in almost all new furniture and carpet make her ill. Since these rugs are made in a traditional way, does this mean they have not been treated with these chemicals? Many thanks.
A: These plain cotton rugs are coloured with natural dyes, and there are no chemicals whatsoever involved in the production process.
I hope this helps, Jo.
